Austintown—Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday at the Praise Assembly of God Church in Niles for Rev. Frank Best of Austintown who died early Tuesday morning at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Rev. Best was born August 22, 1924 in North Lima the son of Elam and Anna (Barger) Best. Rev. Best was a carpenter for over 27 years working for many different construction companies and also working out of Carpenter’s Local 171 Youngstown. At the age of 50 he entered the ministry, being ordained at the age of 59. He served as Pastor of Toronto Assembly of God for 91/2 years, then as Associate Pastor at Columbiana Tabernacle for 2 years. He went on to serve as an Interim Minister with several Ohio District Assembly of God Churches through out Ohio. Rev. Best was a graduate of Berean College in Springfield Missouri, and was also a WWII Army Air force Veteran. Rev. Best is survived by his wife Nyla (Richards) Best whom he married Feb. 15, 1997, two daughters Donna (Stanley) Chlebus of Berlin Center, Dianna (Jon) VanAsdle of Louisville, two sons Larry (Jan) Best of Franklin Tn., Wayne (Leslie) Best of Columbiana. He is also survived by three step children, Tim Richards of Austintown, Cynthia Vits of Carmel In., Becky Tristan of Springfield Missouri, two sisters Mary Coler of North Lima, Virginia Zouck of New Springfield, three brothers Howard and Ronald Best both of New Springfield, Roy Best of Grand Rapids, Michigan, eleven grandchildren, six step grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Rev. Best was preceded in death by his first wife Luella (Dennis) whom he married April 16, 1944 died July 16, 1996, one son David Best, two sisters Elizabeth Black, Evelyn Schultz, four brothers Harry, George, John, Donald Best, a half brother Elam Geer; a granddaughter Vanessa Chlebus and a great grandson Drew Chagot.
