Richard A. Boor

Richard A. Boor age 65, of Masury, OH passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his home. Mr. Boor was born on February 16, 1947 in Sharon, PA the son of the Martin and Anna (Chaky) Boor. He was a 1965 graduate of Brookfield High School and following graduation served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, Richard would work at G.A.T.X. in Masury and then as an inspector for Delphi Packard Electric. "Rabbit" as he was known by his many friends had enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time on his boat, as well as hosting several famous pig roasts. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Boor of California; sister Marlene (Wes) Zipay of Hubbard, OH; brother Gerald (Cheryl) Boor of Hubbard; two nieces a nephew and by several close friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death his sister Patricia Boor and a niece. Calling hours for friends and family will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9:00-10:30AM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, OH 44403 (330) 448-6969. A funeral service will begin at 10:30AM at the funeral home where military honors will also be observed. Burial will follow at the Brookfield Township Cemetery.
