Richard Bruce Burnham

Richard Bruce "Dick" Burnham, age 62, of Champion Township, died suddenly Tuesday, January 27, 2009, in the emergency room at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born July 5, 1946 in Warren the son of the late Richard George and Louise (Whitmore) Burnham. Dick was a 1964 graduate of Champion High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, maintaining B-52 aircraft. He attended Kent State University. He worked for over 25 years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital as a supervisor in the clinical engineering department. Dick was a member of the Red Hawk American Indian Cultural Society and shared a heritage of the Blackfoot nation. He was a member of the Northeast Ohio Leather Guild, the Warren Moose Lodge No. 186 and SCOPE. Dick enjoyed leatherworking, golfing and was an avid football fan, especially of the Cleveland Browns. He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. (Steele) Burnham, whom he married September 24, 1999; four sons, Ted (Jenny) Burnham of Atlanta, Ga.; Richard (Heather) Morrow of Orange City, Fla.; Todd Allen of Champion and Thomas (Karey) Allen with the U.S. Air Force in Yigo, Guam; one sister, Gail (David) Hollis of Southington and four grandchildren, Russell Morrow, Rebekah Morrow, Austin Bertoglio and Lilia Allen. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Friday, January 30, 2009, for a time of sharing and remembrance. Cremation was held and there will be no services. Graveside military services will be held at a later date.
