Richard C. Elyko

Richard C. Elyko of Canfield, OH, died at 3:00 AM Sunday Sept. 30, 2007 in Polaski, TN. He was 55. Mr. Elyko was born in Youngstown, OH on Sept. 24, 1952, a son of Joseph and Lois Jones Elyko. He worked for CLT “Consolidated Lumber Transportation” Trucking Company. Richard was a former Vol. Firefighter in Canfield. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, driving through the countryside, and bull riding. Richard loved his dogs, but most of all he loved his family. Survivors include: his son, Cody Elyko who lived at home with his father; a sister Denise Saltsman of Kinsman, OH; a niece Rachael Nugent; He was preceded in death by: his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday Oct. 20, 2007 at the Lane Funeral Home – Austintown Chapel. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Following the service at the cemetery, there will be a bike run in memory of Richard (weather permitting).
