Richard Clark Buchanan Sr.

AUSTINTOWN-A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Richard "Bucky" Clark Buchanan Sr., 79, who passed away at 6:23AM Saturday, March 22, 2008 in his home. Bucky was born in 1929 in Clymer, PA the son of the late Monroe Clark and Marie (Putt) Buchanan. Bucky was a graduate of Rayen High School and worked at Commercial Shearing as a millright. He also owned his own organ repair business here and in Florida. Bucky was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War, where he worked on fighter planes. He was a member of the Austintown Eagles Club. Bucky was married to the former Betty J. Ostavitz, who preceded him in death in 1999. Bucky leaves a son Joseph (Paula) Buchanan; a daughter Denise (Richard) Mellott; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother Ralph of Austintown; and a sister Meriam Wood of Ft. Lauderdale. Besides his parents, and wife, Bucky was preceded in death by a son Richard C. Buchanan Jr. in 1985. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 1:30PM until the hour of service in the funeral home.
