Richard D. Oblinsky, 65, passed away July 1, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 6, 1948 in Clymer, PA. He was the son to the late Pete and Helen (Lutzic) Oblinsky. Richard was employed by General Motors, Lordstown, as a material manpower coordinator for 39 years prior to his retirement in 2006. He loved spending time outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and especially keeping a perfect garden to share with his family and neighbors. His garden was envied by all who drove by. He loved spending time at the farm, his homestead, and especially the cabin by the creek. Richard is survived by and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Donna (Roof) Oblinsky whom he was married to for 46 years. He is also survived by his son Richard (Kimberly) Oblinsky of McDonald and his daughter Tina Wilson of Lordstown; his brothers Charlie (Jeannie) Oblinsky of Clymer, PA and Peter (Louise) Oblinsky of Greensburgh, PA. He leaves his four beautiful grandchildren, Richie and Nick Oblinsky of McDonald and Madalyn and Sophia Wilson of Lordstown, whom he loved with all his heart. He will forever be "Papa Blue Eyes." He also leaves many nieces and nephews, especially Mandy who he loved dearly; and one great niece and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece Michelle. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 4 from 4-7PM at Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where funeral services will take place Friday, July 5 at 10AM. Interment to follow at Lordstown Cemetery.
