Richard E. Black

Richard E. Black, Sr., age 63 of McDonald passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his residence. Born June 8, 1950 in Youngstown, he was the son of Ralph and Madelyn Black. Richard married Kathleen Magmore on September 23, 1972 and together they had three children. Richard worked as a stationary engineer for Trumbull County, retiring in 2010. He previously worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube and Republic Steel prior to those plants closing. Richard's passion was working on antique engines and tractors with his sons. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen, sons; Richard (Michelle) Jr.,(Mineral Ridge) Joseph (Lyndsay), ( McDonald), brother; Glen (Girard) and grandsons; Landon and Travis. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and a infant son. A celebration of Richard's life will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel with a visitation starting at 5-6:30pm and funeral service at 6:30-7:00pm. Interment will be private.
