Richard E. Bowden, 86, formerly of Champion Township died at 7:10 PM on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at St Joseph Health Center in Warren. He was born the son of the late Carl and Ida (Martin) Bowden on April 16, 1921 in Grove City, PA. He is a graduate of Grove City High School. Richard served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for Packard Electric retiring in 1984. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Genevieve (Whenry) Bowden whom he married on November 25, 2007. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sherry and Scott Bowden. Besides his parents he was preceded in death my two sons Richard and Dennis Bowden, and two sisters Vera Penman and Carrie Virginia and two great grandchildren. Richard enjoyed boating and sports. Family will be receiving friends on Friday October 19, 2007 from 2- 4 PM at the Roberts–Clark Funeral Chapel, where a service will be held at 4PM.
