Austintown, OH- Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Richard L. Herman Sr., who passed away after an 8 month battle with lung cancer Friday evening in his home. Richard was born August 6, 1946 in Youngstown a son of John and Margaret (Cozad) Herman and lived in the area all of his life. Richard retired in 2003 from Yellow Freight in Richfield, OH after 18 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 407 of Cleveland, OH for 27 years. Richard enjoyed camping, boating and spending time with his grandkids. Richard was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Besides his parents of Austintown, Richard is survived by his wife Charolette (Boley) Herman, whom he married January 6, 1968, three sons, Richard L. Herman Jr., John (Amy) Herman, Jason (Jennifer) Herman all of Austintown. Richard is also survived by one brother Dale Herman of Youngstown and two sisters, Virginia (James) Ingram of Youngstown and Joyce (John) Lesicko of Austintown, and four grandchildren Taylor, Zachary, Kayla, and Alec Herman all of Austintown.
