Richard L. "Ryk" Teuscher, Jr.

Richard L. "Ryk" Teuscher, Jr., age 59 of Champion Township, Ohio died of a sudden heart attack Thursday evening, March 27, 2014. He was born October 8, 1954 in Warren, the son of the late Richard L. and Patricia LeGay Teuscher, Sr. He was a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Ryk was a 1972 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and was employed in maintenance at Arcelor Mittal Steel in Warren (formerly Republic-LTV Steel), where he had worked for 41 years. Ryk was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling and had bowled on area leagues for many years. He loved motorcycling and playing billiards and played in the APA league. He had also played and umpired league softball. He is survived by his wife, Michelle R. Pereces Teuscher, whom he married August 19, 1995; one son, Richard C. (Vanessa) Teuscher of Champion; two daughters, Shannon C. Pereces of Cleveland and Megan R. Lewis of Champion; two granddaughters, Kylie and Mary Teuscher and one sister, Rhonda (Randy) Stowell of Howland. Ryk was preceded in death in 1992 by his first wife, Terry L. Harris Teuscher, whom he married in June 1972. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren and also for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service at the funeral home on Monday. Pastor Kenneth E. Hopkins, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
