Richard M. Noble, 90 Berlin Center: Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel for Richard M. Noble, 90 of Berlin Center who died Sunday evening at Copeland Oaks. Richard was born August 27, 1925 in Youngstown, a son of the late Charles Edward and Clara Hartzell Noble and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the United States Army during World War II and had been a carpenter for the local union and also a farmer . He had shown draft ponies at local fairs for over 75 years. Richard was a member of Berlin Center United Methodist Church, the Berlin Center Historical Society, the Ohio Welsh Association, Mahoning Valley Pony Breeders, the Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan Club, and the American Legion Post #76 of Sebring. His wife, the former Marjorie E. Stryffeler whom he married October 18, 1952, died January 1, 2013. He leaves two daughters, Barbara S. Noble of Berlin Center, Martha R. (Lonnie) Noble-Cain of Covington, Ohio; two sons, Thomas E. Noble of Berlin Center, Mark R. Noble of Canfield; two sisters, Evelyn Obenauf of Columbus, Margaret Jones, of Sebring; one grandson, Adam Noble; two granddaughters, Kara Noble and Ellie Cain. Besides his parents and his wife, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Noble and Wilbur Noble. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to service on Friday at the funeral home.
