Richard Ryan Blake Sr.

Richard Ryan Blake Sr. 47, of Brookfield Twp., OH passed away at 1:58PM Monday, March 29, 2010 at his home. Mr. Blake was born on May 01, 1962 in Youngstown, OH the son of the Robert and Rosemarie (Hampstead) Blake. He was a 1981 graduate of Vinson High School in Huntington, WV and had worked for Ellwood Engineering Casting in Hubbard, OH and Iron City Wood Products in Campbell, OH. He was currently working as a Custodian for the Brookfield Local School District. Rick was an avid outdoorsman and would spend a great deal of time deer hunting, and proof of his success were his two trophy Whitetail Deer mounts which he proudly displayed. He also enjoyed spending time fishing on Lake Erie and going camping with his family. Mr. Blake is survived by his wife the former Greta L. Fitch whom he married on April 16, 1982; his mother Rosemarie Blake of Masury, OH; his son Richard R. Blake Jr. and his wife Cindy and daughter Jessica Clark and her husband Mathew all of Brookfield, OH; brothers Charles Blake and his wife Patricia and David J. Blake and his wife Lourdes all of Hubbard, OH, and Michael D. Fitch of Brookfield, OH; three grandsons Christian Scott Clark, Hunter Mathew Clark, and Richard Ryan Blake III. Several Nieces and Nephews and by his adoptive family Marvin and Betty Hardwick, Jimmy, Timmy & Jerry and sister Theresa also survive of Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Blake, daughter Brittany Marie Blake, and brothers Bobby Blake, and Tony Hardwick. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10:00AM at the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, OH with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00PM Friday evening at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown, OH.
