Rita J. Miller, 75 of Howland Township, died Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. She was born December 15, 1936 in Warren, the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Mary Tvaroch Bokros. Rita was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, where she was a majorette and played trumpet in the band. She had worked for Halsey Taylor Company for 15 years in the sales office, until the company moved. Previously, Rita worked in the office of Brainard Strapping and at Second National Bank. She also worked as a home caregiver for several years. Rita was always there to help everyone and was a loving and caring person. She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Warren. She loved spending time with her family and grandsons. Rita also loved music and played piano, accordion and trumpet. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, playing cards and crossword puzzles. Rita is survived by her husband, Michael C. Miller, Sr., whom she married May 15, 1956; one son, Michael C. (Nita) Miller Jr. of Farmington; two grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Miller; and three sisters, Dorothy Sowa of Warren, Elaine Kania of Braceville and Geraldine Spano of Champion. She was preceded in death by one brother, Andrew Bokros Jr. and one sister, Mary Pasternak. The funeral service will be held at noon Friday at Lane Family Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, prior to the service. Entombment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SS. Cyril & Methodius Church memorial fund.
