Rita R. Genetta

North Jackson-Combined Services were held at 12:30 PM Friday, November 18, 2005 in the Lane Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel where the Rev. Vickie Kumorowski officiated for Rita R. and Zolton A. Genetta of North Jackson. Rita passed away at 2:45 pm Thursday, November 17, 2005 at her daughter’s residence following a long illness. She was 69. Zolton passed away at 6:07 am Tuesday, November 15, 2005 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center from complications from open heart surgery. Zolton was 72. Rita was born on July 25, 1936 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of John and Margaret (Kopriva) Roca. Rita was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Rita retired in 1998 after working 42 years from Packard Electric where she was a tool crib attendant. She was a member of the Local IUE #717 and enjoyed going to breakfast with her girlfriends, washing clothes and hanging them outside, laying on the beach, baking, traveling, but most of all playing and spending time with her grandson, Andrew and family. Rita will be sadly missed by her daughters Suzanne M. (David) Hall of Austintown, and Kristine M. (Joe) Woods of North Jackson; a sister Rose Duchnak of Warren, a grandson Andrew D. Hall; numerous nieces, nephews, one great niece, and one great nephew. Besides her husband, Zolton Arthur Genetta, whom she married on April 26, 1965 in Winchester, West Virginia, Rita was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ricardo “Richard” Roca. Rita was laid to rest with her husband on Friday in North Jackson Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Rita’s and Zolton’s memory to Hospice of the Valley or to the American Heart Association.
