Robert A. (Pepper) Martin--86 Austintown—Services will be 8 PM Wednesday evening at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Robert Albert (Pepper) Martin who passed away early Monday morning in Omni Manor Care Center. Robert also known as Pepper was born December 16,1917 in Youngstown the son of Albert E. and Marie Myrtle (Sweeney) Martin. He was a Clerk with US Steel in Production Planning for 44 years retiring in 1980. Pepper was a graduate of South High School class of 1936 where he was the Quarterback for the football team. Robert was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Europe. He was of the Methodist faith and was very active in baseball and golf. Pepper was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Pepper leaves his wife the former Elizabeth Hart whom he married June 1,1965. He also leaves a son Paul (Scooter) Trgovac of Campbell, two daughters Judith Montgomery of Hubbard, and Susan Martin of Canfield, a sister Jean Roche and a brother Lloyd Martin both of Austintown, and five grandchildren. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
