ROBERT A. LAW BOARDMAN-- Robert Allen (Bob) Law passed away peacefully on April 18, 2013. Bob was a son of John and Dorothy Law. He was preceded in death by his first wife Dona (Bey) and sister's Josephine and Jean. He is survived by his wife Helen (Ipe/ D'Amico) Law; his sons, Mark (Cheryl) of Costa Mesa, CA, Jeff (Diane) of Glendale, AZ, Bill (Joyce) of Youngstown, Rick of Tampa, FL, Tom (Mary Beth) of Delaware, OH, and Tim (Becky) of Youngstown; his daughter, Lynn (Roger) of Dayton, OH; his grandchildren, Kimberly (CJ), Ashley, Bill, Alyssa, Kate, Joe, Christy, Jack, and Rick; and great grandchildren Hailey and Dylan. He is also survived by his brothers, John (Bonnie) of Sun City, AZ and Richard (Judy) of Prescott Valley, AZ and a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was born April 27, 1932 in Youngstown and graduated from South High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the USNS General George W. Goephals. After the navy, Bob returned to Youngstown where he married Dona and they soon after moved to southern California. Bob worked in the early days of the aerospace industry and became a partner in Cal-State-Seal. Bob was instrumental in the growth of this very successful company up until his retirement in 1992. Bob was a proud member of Mesa Verde Country Club where he enjoyed many a round of golf and parties, and was often referred to as the "life of the party". Following the death of Dona, Bob returned to the area and married Helen D'Amico, a long time dear friend, whose late husband Bill was like a brother. Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many people over his life. He was a man of quiet, but solid faith. He loved music and singing in church on Sundays. Bob was kind to all, a "caregiver" and model for his family to follow. Bob received most of his joy by watching the happiness of others. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 22nd at First Covenant Church, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 prior to the service. Bob can be memorialized by making donations in his name to either First Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave. Boardman, Ohio 44512 or to Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd. Youngstown, Ohio 44512. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff of the 3rd floor SICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown for their excellent care they offered to Bob and the family.
