A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Canfield for Robert B. Kritter, Jr. of Canfield who passed away Thursday afternoon at his home. Robert was born September 25, 1948 in Youngstown the son of Robert B. and Helen L. (Rachel) Kritter, Sr. Bob was an auto worker at General Motors in Lordstown where he retired in 1983. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 3298 in Austintown. Bob loved to restore old cars, was a carpenter, mechanic and Harley-Davidson enthusiast and loved to play bingo. Besides his mother of Mineral Ridge, Bob leaves his wife, the former Ruth Lawson whom he married March 2, 1968 and three children: Rachelle “Shelly” and her husband Ed Demsky of Canfield, Robert III and his wife Heather Kritter of Columbus, and Helen and her husband John Aeppli of Youngstown. He also leaves a sister Patricia “Pam” McSkimming of Canfield and six grandchildren: James Wolfe, Zack and Ryan Demsky, Jake Kritter, and Amanda and Jason Aeppli. Bob was preceded in death by his father and a sister Charlene L. Melia. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
