Robert Clay Jr., 82 of Diamond, OH and formerly of Chicago, IL passed away Saturday evening, February 18, 2012 in St. Joseph Health Center after an extended illness. Born February 21, 1929 and raised with his siblings in Gurley, AL, he was the son of the late Robert and Cora (Vann) Clay Sr. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Republic Steel where he worked as a general laborer for many years. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed fishing and boating. He will be dearly missed by his six children, Terry A. Clay of Madison, WI, Robert M. Clay of Eagle River, AK, David S. Clay and Suzanne D. Brown both of Chicago, IL, Carol L. Clark of Madison, WI and Christopher Clay of Bellwood, IL, 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. According to Robert's wishes, he will be cremated and no calling hours or services will be held. His family has entrusted arrangements to the care of Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
