Robert D. Gallagher, 74, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Youngstown. He was born on February 29, 1940 to Fred H. and Ethel (Hunt) Gallagher in Warren, Ohio. Bob retired after 35 years from Delphi Packard Electric and he was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed repairing tractors and had restored many cars with his father over the years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a part of a local pigeon racing club for many years. Bob is survived by his daughters, Jenifer (Matt) Saban Papesch and Maureen Gallagher; two granddaughters, Jacqui (Michael) Thomas and Delaney Saban; four great grandsons, Ryan, Dylan, Ethan and Cayden; and two sisters, Jo Ann Bressler and Donna Snyder. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Barbara M. Gallagher on April 10, 2012; his parents and a sister, Phyllis Gallagher Velinski. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483, from 10:00A.M. to 12:00P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12:00PM following calling hours. Burial will be at Howland Township Cemetery. Donations may be made in memory of Bob to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693.
