Robert E Kovach

Robert E. "Bob" Kovach, 68, of Weathersfield Township entered eternal rest at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Bob was born March 1, 1945 in Warren, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Adella Allen Kovach. Bob served in the Army from 1962-63 and retired from Amweld Building Products in Niles, where he was a union official for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, watching Nascar and the Browns and Indians games (an avid fan) with his dog, Missy by his side. He enjoyed billiards, all sports, bowling and golf, softball and playing Texas Hold'em with his family. He was a knowledgeable music trivia buff and enjoyed watching Animal Planet and nature shows. Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sharon L. (Tenney) Kovach; his children, Kristina (Daryl) Williams of Sacramento, Calif., Bobbie Jo (Keith) James of Mineral Ridge, Gary (Gretta) Kovach of Girard, John Hall of West Milton, OH; two step-sons, John (Teresa) Baker of Pensacola, Fla. and Vincent Baker of Warren; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; his five sisters, Charlotte Pappada, Mary Jo (Charles) Johnstone and Judy Kovach all of Niles, Nancy Holmes of Vienna and Barbara (Dennis) Heeter of Howland; one brother Joseph Kovach of Pymatuning, Pa. as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lee Kovach; three sisters, Margaret "Sis" Cline, Betty "Tiney" Venti and Joyce Kovach and a brother John Kovach. Per Bob's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. On Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 3-6 p.m. in the banquet room at Crest Lanes bowling lanes in Warren there will be a celebration and gathering in Bob's memory. Friends and family are invited. Arrangments were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
