Niles, Ohio Robert E. Lewis, "Bobby", age 77 of Niles, Ohio, lived his last "one day at a time" and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 3:50 PM at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born on January 13, 1936 in Frostburg, Maryland the son of the late Elmer Ellsworth and Mildred P. Sausman Lewis. Mr. Lewis attended Niles McKinley High School and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles. He also was an honorable discharged US Marine Veteran serving during the Korean War. Bobby was a retired autoworker in 1993 after 25 years of service from Lordstown GM. His hobbies were spending time with his family and friends and in his younger years, he loved to fish. Other than his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Edward in 1967 and his brother, John E. Lewis. Survivors include his wife, the former Sue A. Mackey, whom he married on July 1, 1957; his four children, Charles (Ona Marie) Lewis of Norwalk, OH, Douglas (Venesa)Lewis of Maple Park, IL, Shannon (Gary) Fritch of Brookfield, OH, and Brian Lewis of Niles; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one uncle, Edward (Dodie) Sausman of Brookfield, Ohio. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 PM, Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel where funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11 AM. Pastor Dave Conrad will celebrate Bobby's life. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
