Robert E. Milligan

Mineral Ridge Services celebrating the life of Robert Milligan will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15th at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel. Bob passed away Thursday evening December 10, 2015 surrounded by his family. Bob was born November 21, 1932 in Warren, a son of the late Donley E. and Anna (Thomas) Milligan and was a 1952 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and was a Paratrooper during the Korean War. Bob married the former Janet Morris on September 4, 1953. Robert retired from Ohio Bell and AT&T after 40 years of service. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church of Niles, the Mineral Ridge VFW, The Antique Car Club (he owned a 1936 Ford), and he was Mr. Fix It and would help anyone who needed him. Robert is survived by his wife, Janet; his son, Tim Milligan of Mineral Ridge; his daughter Debbie Hall of Mineral Ridge; and his two grandchildren, Jessica and Zachary Hall. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Milligan. Family and friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15th at the Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. The Milligan family request that memorial tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley or New Hope Methodist Church.
