Robert Emery Gregory Jr.

August 11, 1932 — March 7, 2013

Robert E. Gregory, Jr., 80, of Cortland, passed away March 7, 2013 at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born August 11, 1932 in Warren, OH to Robert and Goldie (Cristlieb) Gregory. Robert was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War a longtime active member of the Leavitsburg Church of the Nazarene. He retired from Republic Steel in 1999 after 40 years of faithful service. He enjoyed bowling weekly at the Freeway Lanes. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Linamen); two daughters, Carol Buzzelli of Cortland and Mary (Thomas) Pifer of Warren; one son, John (Carolyn) Gregory of Warren; one brother William Gregory and one sister, Virginia Raznoff; six grandchildren, Carrie, Thomas, Jr., Greg, Marcie, Thomas and Kyle and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bud Smith, Lyle and Richard Gregory. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 PM at the Lane Family Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield, Warren, OH 44483, where the funeral will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Memorial Park.
