Robert G Johnson

Robert G. Johnson, 91, of Warren passed away, Tuesday evening, January 18, 2011 at Windsor House of Champion after a short illness. Born December 9, 1919 in Alexandria, IN he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Heaggy) Johnson. Robert was a proud veteran of the United State Army and served in the 112th Evac Unit during WWII. Bob retired in 1986 from Packard Electric, Delphi where he worked as a skilled laborer for many years. Robert was dedicated family man. He was handy and could fix almost anything. Bob enjoyed yard work and helping his children with various projects. Most of all he adored his wife, children and grandchildren. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Hattie "Pat" (Albert) Johnson of Warren whom he married April 23, 1959 and with whom he has shared 51 years of marriage, three sons, Lee, who preceded him in death, Bill (Arleen) Johnson of Pensacola, FL, and Gary (Kathy) Johnson of Cortland, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by seven brothers and sister and by his parents. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel and will be officiated by Robert's daughter-in-law, Chaplain Arleen Johnson. Family and friends may visit from 12p.m. until 2p.m. prior to the service. Cremation will take place concluding the funeral service.
