Robert G. Sill of 101 Creekside Commons, Cortland, OH, died on Tuesday (9-12-2006) in the St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Warren, OH. He was 75. Mr. Sill was born in Laramie, WY on October 9, 1930, a son of George and Sadie (Walker) Sill. After attending Vienna High School, Bob went on to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Following his return from the service, he worked with his father in the family-owned Sills Bakery, Youngstown. He also worked at McKay Machine Company, Austintown; owner-operator of Bob’s Cycle Sales, Vienna; Gordon James Career Center as a teacher, Lordstown; owner-operator of Bob’s Roto-Tiller Sales, Vienna; Stambaugh-Thompson Hardware Store, Boardman; and Home Depot, Boardman. Bob had attended the Vienna Presbyterian Church, Vienna; and the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Cortland. Survivors included: his brother, Emil R. Sill, Vienna, OH; his sister, Donna J. Schieffer, Vienna, OH; his nieces, Marlene Rae, Alexandria, VA and Brenda Lee Robb & her husband Jim, Cincinnati, OH; his nephew, Christopher J. Schieffer, Cincinnati, OH; his great-nephew, Jimmy J. Robb, III, Cincinnati, OH; and by his dear friend and companion, Audrey Patrick, Cortland, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his niece, Mary Alice Schieffer. Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Paul E. Johnson, and Rev. Duane A. Jesse. Calling hours will be Friday from 1 PM until the time of services. A Private Family Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to the memorial funds of either church.
