Robert H Davis

Fowler---Robert H. Davis, age 90, died Friday evening on April 8, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Robert was born on September 30, 1925 in Fowler a son of the late Carl T. and Lillian M. (Held) Davis. He was a 1943 graduate of Fowler High School. After graduation he proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving his county for two years during WWII. Robert was assigned to the 350th Infantry Unit as a rifleman, for his courageous efforts during the war he received the Theater Ribbon with Battle Star, Victory Ribbon World World II, American Theater Ribbon and the Purple Heart. After returning home from the war, Robert worked at Packard Electric on the assemble line injecting molds for over 43 years. In his free time, he would spend countless hours at Sharon Speedy way watching races. Robert also enjoyed taking care of his lawn. He was proud to be a charter member of the Fowler Fire Department. He will be missed by his children; Frances (Dennis) Roush, from Columbus, Linda (John) Nicula of Fowler and Tom (Trudy) Davis of Fowler, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by a brother Charles Davis of Fowler and a sister Janet Daugherty of Champions. Robert is preceded in death by his parents. A private service will be held at a later date.
