Robert H. Havens

Funeral services will be held 9 AM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Robert H. Havens of Austinwoods Nursing Home, who passed away early Thursday morning at the nursing home. Robert was born February 17, 1917 in Berea, Ohio a son of Harley and Nettie (Farquhar) Havens. He was an electrician for Reactive Metals Corp. for 43 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Mineral Ridge United Methodist Church, retirees of RMI and Associates, Vice President of North Eastern Council retirees, and President of resident Council at Austinwoods Nursing Home. He is survived by three children: Harlow Havens of Texas, Charlene Dixon of Reno, NV, and Lindel Beard of Mineral Ridge; two grandsons Benjamin R. Beard of Mineral Ridge and Brian J. Beard of Delaware, Ohio; and a great granddaughter Allissa Beard of Delaware, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Anna M. Senskey whom he married August 18, 1940 and passed away in 2001; two sisters Marjorie McMillan, and Winifred Smith; three brothers Howard Havens, Donald Havens, and Roy Carter.
