Robert H Patchen

Robert H. "Rob" "Patch" Patchen, age 50 of Warren, died Sunday morning, September 4, 2011, at his home of a lengthy illness. He was born June 5, 1961 in Warren, the son of the late Robert E. Patchen and Monte P. Marmarinos Patchen of Warren. He was a lifetime Warren area resident. Patch was a 1979 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School. He was a member of Believer's Christian Fellowship. Patch was a survivor and a dialysis patient for 32 years. In spite of all his health problems, he never complained and was a strong supporter of all of his friends. He was a good friend to all and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Patch enjoyed collecting antiques, Jeep CJ5's and baseball caps, interior decorating and loved vacationing in Florida. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Patch is survived by the Love of his life and companion of 15 years, Stephanie Potjunas; his mother, Monte of Warren; one sister, Joy L. Balut of Warren; two stepchildren, Scott Maky of Bristolville and Colleen Maky of Johnston; a granddaughter, Sierra Krotzer of Johnston and a grandson, Zack Maky of Bristolville; five nephews, Justin and Jacob Pate, Corey (Corey) Pate, Jordan Pate and Preston Balut; one niece, Esther (Joey) Boarts and two best friends, Clayton Ware of Warren and Mike Bright of Martinsburg, Va. and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Bill Carter officiating. The family extends a special thanks to the doctors at The Renal Group and his home caregivers, Ashley and Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Believer's Christian Fellowship.
