Robert I. Antonell, 78 of Warren Township died unexpectedly Friday, January 29, 2016, at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born July 11, 1937 in Warren, the son of the late George Frank Antonelli and Angeline Maggiano Antonelli Dunch. He had been a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Bob was a 1956 graduate of Howland High School and afterwards studied electronics. He was the owner for many years of Warren Radio Electronics and CBA Models in Warren. Bob was a member of the former Second Christian Church in Warren. He had been a member of the Warren Jaycees and the Warren Rotary Club, the Skyhawks radio control aircraft club and the AMA (American Modelers Assoc.). He was an avid builder of radio control model aircraft and enjoyed building many 5th scale airplanes, especially his favorites the P38 Lightning and the F7F Tigercat. He was an honorary member of the 475th Fighter Group and was a World War II history buff. Bob was also an automobile enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judie A. Miller Antonell, whom he married January 30, 1960; one daughter, Kathy J. Antonell of Warren; one son, Robert G. "Bobby" (Kim) Antonell of Warren Township; six grandchildren, David A. (Lauren) Masaitis, Bobette M., Kaitlyn A. and Landon D. Antonell and Tia L. and Lexie M. Cline; one brother, George F. (Etta) Antonell Jr. of Howland and a sister-in-law, Eleanor (Terry) Austin of Champion. One brother, David Lee Antonell preceded him in death. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Champion Presbyterian Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Marvin Barney and Pastor Steve Maugh will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Champion. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Facebook's "Fund Me" to assist the family with funeral expenses.
