Robert J. Bowser

Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Robert J. Bowser, 64, of Austintown who passed away Friday afternoon in Hospice House. Robert was born December 9, 1943 in Kolersburg, PA, the son of Thomas Robert and Mildred (Wells) Bowser. Bob retired in 2006, after 40 years of service, for General Motors Lordstown where he worked in the Final Repair department. He was a former member of Youngstown Baptist Church, a member of the Moose Lodge, and the UAW. Bob's hobbies included wood working, home repair and remodeling, and riding on his motorcycle. He leaves his wife the former Linda Eck whom he married December 24, 1965, their two children; Tawna (TC) (Bud) Gray of Austintown, and John (Denise) Bowser of Lake Milton. Bob also leaves one sister; Betty (Bill) Hobson of Austintown, one brother; Alan (Donna) Bowser of Kolersburg, as well as four grandchildren; Kyrie, Joshua, Anna Nichole, and Shannan Ariel. Besides his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a grandson Jeremy Bowser. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice House in Robert's name.
