Robert Kenneth “Bob” Caraway, 62, of Warren died Monday Sept.10, 2007 at his home from an apparent heart attack. He was born Oct.24, 1944 in Warren the son of Wray T. and Betty Tomkins Caraway Bosley. A lifetime Warren resident, he was a 1962 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He served in the US Army during the Viet-Nam war and received the Armed Forces Expeditionary medal and the National Defense Service medal. Bob worked at Van Huffel Tube Corp. for 17 years and for the past 23 years has been employed by St. Joseph’s Health Center in the central supply dept. He attended North-Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and served as president of the teamsters union at St. Josephs Health Care Center. He enjoyed golf, bowling, was an avid Warren G. Harding football fan. Bob loved animals, especially his dog Major and cockatoo, Ivory. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty, a brother Wray J. Caraway, and 2 sisters Carol (James) Ewing, and Kay Caraway. Survivors include his father Wray T. (Virginia) Caraway of Rome, OH, a son Eric (Rosanne) Caraway of Cortland, a daughter April J. Caraway of Warren, 3 grandchildren Brandon, Jasmine, and Rachel, and his former wife Sue Prox. He also leaves a sister Kathy (James) Ifft of Boardman, a brother Patrick T. (Phyllis) Caraway of Niles, step-father Charles Bosley of Niles, sister-in-law Sandra Caraway of Champion, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his friends at work and his neighbors, who were like extended family to him. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday Sept.14, 2007 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday. Pastor Corey Blair will officiate. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park where military rites will be observed. Material contributions may be made to Animal Welfare League 545 Brunstetter Rd. Warren, OH 44481.
