AUSTINTOWN-A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10AM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. John Trimbur officiating preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:20AM Wednesday in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Robert L. Cerimele, 75, who passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 9:44 PM in the Hospice House with his family by his side. Robert was born January 1, 1934 in Youngstown the only son of the late of Guy and Mary (Santangelo) Cerimele and was a life long resident of the Mahoning Valley. A 1951 graduate of South High School, Robert was a skilled brick layer and stone mason and retired from Bricklayers Local No 8. Robert went on to manage numerous commercial construction projects in the area and internationally for Jos Bucheit & Sons. He also went on to help his son Robert start an area company, Masonary Works. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, sporting events and the company of his wife, four surviving children and their spouses, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and other family and friends. Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years the former Mary Ann Paolone whom he married January 28, 1955; four children Guy L. (Marianne) of Gahanna, Roxann (David) Morrow of Austintown, Robert A. (Cynthia) of Canfield and Arthur J. (Elizabeth) of Charlotte; sisters and Gloria Ross of Girard and Mary Ann Bletso of Kent; eight grandchildren Anthony (Shirley), Angela (James) Wermuth, Andrew, Nicole (Jason) Gries, Christy (Brandon) Chine, Elizabeth, Dante and Robert Cerimele; and six great grandchildren McKenzie Chine, Allie and Jason Gries, Sophia Cerimele, Blake Springhetti and Gianna Cerimele. Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Cerimele. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 5 until 8 PM in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
