Robert L. Reese, 70, of Niles, died 11:55 AM Wednesday July 27, 2011 at St. Joseph's Health Care Center following a year-long illness. He was born April 25, 1941 in Mecca the son of Edward and Dorothy (Greene) Reese. A lifetime area resident, Bob retired in 2003 from RMI Titanium in Niles as a production tech scheduler after 42 years of service. He received many awards from RMI (RTI) during his career including the President's Award. He loved his job and co-workers and was always a valuable asset to the company. Bob was a member of the RMI Retirees breakfast club. Not only was he good at his job but he also was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa to his family. He was stubborn-but only when he was right (which was always). He was a friend to everyone. Bob was a member of ITAM #30 and was an avid sports fan especially of the Browns and the Buckeyes. He will be sadly missed by his wife Maria (Kurmu) whom he married Aug.28, 1971, daughter Candace (Randy) Dzurilla, sons Robert J. Reese, Gary L. (Faith) Booth, granddaughters Carissa (Blair) Simmons, Jessica, Chelsea, and Isabell Dzurilla, Samantha, Katy, and Brianna Booth, grandsons Robert J. Reese Jr., Travis Reese, Theodore Booth, great granddaughters Alyssa Simmons, Lorelei Simmons, Destiny Booth, and a great grandson Timmy Booth all in the Trumbull County area. He also leaves 4 brothers George (Callista) Reese, Ronald (Linda) Reese, Richard (Ruth) Reese of California, Gary (Nancy) Reese, of Florida, sister-in-law Irma Reese, numerous nieces and nephews, many friends including his best friend of many years, Robert Scott, and his beloved dog "Lucky". Bob was preceded in death by his parents, son Theodore, brothers Bill, Norman, and Dennis, and sister Karen Reese. Friends will be received form 1-4 PM Sunday July 31, 2011 at Roberts-Clark Chapel. He will be cremated and his ashes will be inurned at Pineview Memorial Park. The family requests material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 525 North Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406.
