Services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Robert L. Wagner, 84 of Austintown who passed away Tuesday evening in Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Robert was born March 18, 1923 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of Carl and Margaret (Love) Wagner. He retired as a crane operator from LTV Steel after 35 years of service. Robert was a navy veteran of WWII and received the American Area Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal with one bronze star, and the WWII Victory Medal. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing. Robert leaves his wife the former Selina Hetherington, whom he married April 26, 1943, two daughters; Suzanne Wagner of Austintown, and Patricia (Earle) Cameron of Mogador, OH, five grandchildren; Kimberly Mann, Kristin (Curtis) Meder and Joshua (Amy) Cameron all of Akron, Karen (Ramazan) Arkan of Turkey, and Sharon Cameron of Mogador and one Great grandson Zeke Cameron of Akron. Robert also leaves two sisters Pearlene Vinion and Peggy Mauch both of Youngstown. Besides his parents, Robert is preceded in death by a sister Betty Dixon. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
