Robert Lee Heath

Robert L. Heath, 87 of Masury, died Sunday evening, October 18, 2015, at Sharon Regional Hospital. He was born November 29, 1927 in Sharon, Pennsylvania the son of the late Lloyd Charles "Bud" and Esther Payne Heath. Bob was a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School, where he was in the 4 year machinist program starting in his junior year. He then was in the naval ordinance dept. at Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Sharon and attended night school at Penn State Shenango where he studied and received his certification in metallurgy. After 39 years service, he retired in 1984 from the industrial engineering dept. at Westinghouse as a time and motion analyst, which he did for 32 years. Bob loved writing poetry and published in 2010 a collection of love poems, dedicated to his late wife, Catherine, entitled "Forever". He enjoyed sharing copies of his poetry with people throughout the years. He had been a member of the Masury Methodist Church, was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Sharon, attended and was an active member of Common Bond grief support group in Vienna and had served as a Boy Scout leader with Troop No. 14 in Sharon. His wife of nearly 57 years (whom he met at Westinghouse), Catherine Marie Revale Heath, whom he married May 20, 1950 preceded him in death March 19, 2007. He is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Carr and one son, Lloyd C. "Chuck" (Francine) Heath all of Hubbard; three grandchildren, Natalie M. (Ted) Lengyel of Howland, Justin J. Carr of Masury and William C. "Billy" Heath of Hubbard and three great granddaughters, Ava Catherine, Alivia Jacqueline and Violet Alizabeth Lynn Lengyel. . The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the service Thursday.
