Robert Lee Jukes, 77 of Lordstown, formerly on Cortland passed at 9am Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his residence. Born in Warren on April 29, 1932, Robert is the son of James and Sarah Jane (Hartshorne) Jukes. A lifetime area resident, Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 19 years of service as a fence weaver for Saramar Aluminum in Warren. He is survived by his children; Robert Jukes of Newton Falls, Jeannie Jukes (Robin McElwee) of Lordstown, Robin Boyd of Newton Falls, and Thomas Jukes of Utah; a granddaughter, Brianna Jukes; sisters, Barbara Van Gorder and Mary Jukes both of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Jukes, and companion Lillian Whitaker Young. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday March 19, 2010 at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, Cortland. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Park, Champion Township.
