Robert V. Picken

Robert Picken, age 78 of Mineral Ridge passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at his residence. Robert was born December 26, 1934 in Warren to parents; Robert and Verna Leota (Shorthouse) Picken. Robert married Willene Shaver on June 17, 1955 and together they had three wonderful children. Robert worked for State Farm Insurance for 45 years as a licensed agent, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ, a volunteer for meals on wheels and member of the 55 plus club at St. Mary's. Robert is survived by his wife; Willene, son; Robert W. (Cheri) Picken, Mineral Ridge, daughter; Lori (Gary) Kuszmaul, Howland Twp. Grandchildren; Keith Happoldt, Stacy Lipowski, Robert B. Picken, Kayla Kuszmaul, Ethan Kuszmaul, and 5 great-grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lynn Picken. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel from 5-7pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:00am at Mineral Ridge Church of Christ. Interment will be held at Niles Cemetery, Niles, Ohio.
