Roberta Fenskie

Austintown-Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday in Lord of Life Lutheran Church with the Rev. Constance Mentzer officiating for Roberta L. Fenskie of Pinetrace in Austintown, who passed away Friday after a short battle with cancer. Roberta was born on August 28, 1954 in Oakridge, TN and was the daughter of William and Nancy (Woodrow) Furlong. Roberta was a 1972 of Austintown Fitch High School and a 1975 graduate of Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Roberta was currently working as a registered nurse at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, where she was a registered nurse in surgery for the last 26 years prior to working at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. After a series of training and hours, Roberta received CNOR Certificate-Certified Nurse of Operating Room. Roberta was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Canfield, where she sang on the choir. She was an active member of the YGDNA-Youngstown General Duty Nursing Association and was a board member, and was a member of the Ohio Nurses Association. She enjoyed reading and singing. Roberta is survived by her husband Edward A. Fenskie, whom she married on June 21, 1975; a son Derek W. Fenskie and a daughter Nancy L. Fenskie both at home; a sister Karen M. Pergenzer of Austintown; aunts Mildred Woodrow of New Mexico, and Juilia Walters of Kentucky; two uncles George Woodrow of Arkansas, and Perry Snare of Austintown; two nieces Jenny (Todd) Stoner of Columbus and Melanie (Shawn) Bray of Boardman; and one great niece Mara I. Bray. Besides her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by an aunt Roberta Snare. Family will receive friends at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 11 to 1PM and 4 until 8PM Monday and from 10 to 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
