Robin "Rob" R. Neff

Funeral services will be held at 4pm Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Robin R. "Rob" Neff, 62, who died Wednesday at his residence. He was born July 5, 1946 in Youngstown, the son of Earl W. and Ruth Ann (Dornbrock) Neff, and he resided in this area all of his life. He was a 1964 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He worked as a tow motor operator for several years for the former Bliss, now Quaker Manufacturing in Austintown until his retirement in the early 90's. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he was past President of Niles Aerie 1476, current Vice President of Girard Aerie 2172, and was a current member of Aerie 3298 in Austintown. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and he enjoyed riding and working on bikes and cars. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean O. Shobel, whom he married August 3, 1999. He also leaves a son James E. Neff of Vero Beach, Fla; and a grandson James A. Neff, also of Vero Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 1-4pm Saturday at the funeral home with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
