Rodney A. Ritter, age 65, of Leavittsburg, died Sunday afternoon, January 11, 2009, at his home. He was born December 23, 1943 in Warren the son of the late Rodney Paul "Tam" Ritter and Billie J. (Gibson) Ritter. Rodney was a 1962 graduate of Leavittsburg High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2006 from B & I Management in Austintown, where he was a purchasing agent for 12 years. He served as a zoning inspector and a fireman for Warren Township for many years. Rodney was president of the Five Points Chapter of the Penn-Ohio Model A Ford Club and was a member of the Model A Restorers Club. He was a member of the Niles Moose Lodge and the North Coast PT Cruisers Club for many years. He enjoyed traveling and boating. He is survived by his mother, Billie J. Ritter of Leavittsburg; his wife Judith K. (Salmons) Ritter, whom he married April 21, 1961; one son, Robert A. (Kimberly) Ritter of Warren; two daughters, Candee K. Stone of Leavittsburg and Michealle L. (Tony) Gabrovsek of Cortland; five grandchildren, Amanda Ritter, Brittnee and Cortnee Stone and Jonathan and Mowava Six; one great granddaughter, Alexxis Six and one sister, Cheri J. (Richard) Iler of Southington. Rodney was preceded in death by his father in 2007, one son, Timothy P. Ritter in 1990 and one son-in-law, Scott Stone. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the 7:00 pm memorial service Thursday, January 15, 2009, with Pastor Leroy Dodrill officiating.
