Roger L. Bennett

Memorial services will be held 12 noon Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Niles for Roger L. Bennett who passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital after battling leukemia. Roger was born December 20, 1949 in Ravenna, a son of Kenneth and Ina (Butcher) Bennett Sr. Roger was a steelworker for U.S. Steel, he loved baseball, football, and being outdoors. He is survived by his father of Niles, his mother of Mineral Ridge, his wife, the former Karen McCauley, whom he married July 17, 2008; two step children: William and Daniel Butler; one sister: Sharon (John) Felger of East Palestine, four brothers: David W. Bennett of Niles, Richard Bennett of Niles, Randy (Carol) Bennett of Pierce, FL, and Robert Bennett of Youngstown; two nieces: Dailia and Nicole Bennett; and one nephew Thomas Bennett. Roger is preceded in death by a brother Danny Bennett. Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.
