Rolland P. Devers

Rolland P. Devers, 61, of Howland Twp. died 4:07 AM Saturday Oct.27, 2007 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Nov.13, 1945 in Salem, the son of Raymond M. and Beatrice (Starkey) Devers. He lived in the Warren area most of his life. Rolland graduated from Peoples Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO and was employed by Brainard Strapping for 23 years as a millwright and then by RMI Titanium until retiring in 2005. Rolland lived his life as a “good Samaritan” and truly enjoyed helping others. He volunteered for Mobile Meals, and enjoyed NASCAR and fishing with his good friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Butcher) Devers whom he married July 2, 1971, three daughters Kristin Jarzynkowski of Warren, twins Stacey (Eric) Vaughn of Lakeway, Texas, and Shelley (Dean) Martelli of Round Rock, Texas and seven grandchildren- Alyssa, Amie, Kobie, Ethan, Grace, Braiden and Chloe. He also leaves five sisters, Virginia McFarlane of New Philadelphia, OH, Florence Devers of Alliance, Erma Miller, of Alliance, Martha (Magdaleno) Luna of York, PA, Elizabeth (Bill) Phillips of Damascus, OH, and three brothers Mervin (Donna) of Cumberland, OH, Kenneth (Linda) of Cumberland, and Darrell of Elberta, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday October 30, 2007 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM Monday. The Rev. Duane Quesenberry will officiate. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
