Ronald A. Adams

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel for Ronald A. "Ron" Adams, 76, of North Jackson who passed away Saturday morning at his home. Ron was born August 8, 1935 in Washington PA, the son of Thomas Adams and Mildred (Wolford) Delaney. He retired in 1997 from General Motors Lordstown Fabrication Plant as an Inspector after 27 years of service. Ron was a member of the UAW Local 1714. His hobbies included working on jigsaw puzzles and golfing. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. Most of all Ron loved spending time with his family and making time for all family activities. He leaves his wife of 58 years, the former Iona Bert, whom he married May 10, 1954, four children, Melody (Dan) Corbett of North Jackson, Terry (Jim) Infante of North Jackson, Cindy (Patrick) Pesa of Boca Raton Florida, and Ron (Missy) Adams of North Jackson, two sisters, Elizabeth Harris of Lordstown, and Nancy Slider of Washington, PA, as well as 11 grandchildren, Jake (Ann) Corbett, Jenny Corbett, Billy(fiance Emily Cooke) Corbett, Shannon (Scott) Bellino, Samantha (Scott) Domes, Sgt. Bruce Montgomery Jr., Hilary (Dave) Karabin, Kelly (Anthony) Ciavarella, Jacki Adams, Jillian (Sr. Airman Kevin) Koenig, and Jaemi (fianc Jesse Stamm) Adams as well as 9 great grandchildren, Nicolas, Caitlyn, Allie, Lacie Corbett, Tre, and Olivia Ciavarella, Sofia, and Roman Bellino, and Reese Domes. Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Montgomery, two brothers, Thomas and Robert Adams, and two sisters, Lucille Hiles, and Margie Pletcher.
