Ronald G. Bennett

Ronald Gene Bennett, age 67 of Austintown, Ohio, died on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:42 PM at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. He was born on November 10, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Layman Norman and Mary Margaret Fletcher Bennett. Ron was a 1964 Weirton High School graduate and he attended YSU where he was group leader of the Junior Achievement. He worked at GM on the paint line from 1969-1983 and then worked for 23 years selling cars at State Chevrolet and Team Chevrolet. He also was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Mr. Bennett was a brother Mason and earned his 32nd degree. He belonged for many years at the Argus Lodge #545 in Canfield and more recently at the Allen Lodge @276 in Columbiana. His hobby was playing the horses and his greatest "hobby" was his grandchildren and his family. Survivors include his wife, the former Debra Yavorsky, whom he married on January 29, 1999; his children, Lisa M. (Stephen) Olesky of Austintown, Anthony J. Bennett of Colorado Springs, CO, Angela M. (Eric) Faubel of Boardman, and James G. Pallai, III of Struthers; five grandchildren, Sarah Perry, Stephen and Luke Olesky, and Ryan and Megan Faubel; three siblings, Constance Ziadeh of Youngstown, Michael (Pam) Bennett of Hollywood, South Carolina, and Carl Bennett of Poland, Ohio; one aunt, Louise Fletcher of Weirton, WV, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Other than his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Bennett. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel, where Pastor Jonathan D. Moore of Grace Family Church will celebrate Ronald's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5:00 8:00 PM.
