Ronald G. Fleming

YOUNGSTOWN---Funeral services will be held 2:45 PM Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, for Mr. Ronald G. “George” Fleming, 78, of 2300 Canfield Rd., who passed away Thursday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. George was born April 20, 1924 in Youngstown, the son of Lloyd and Gertrude Hall Fleming and was a lifelong area resident. He had been manager for several grocery stores in the area including Loblaw’s and Century Foods retiring in 1996. He was a Marine veteran serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. His wife, the former Margaret E. Brown, whom he married in 1945 died in 2001. George is survived by his daughter, Tracey (James) Beardsley and a grandson, Joseph Beardsley of Canfield. A sister, Deloris Beene preceded him in death. Friends may call from 3 to 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
