Ronald R. Petro`

Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Ronald Petro of Austintown who died Friday afternoon in North Side Hospital. Mr. Petro was born January 23, 1935 in Youngstown the son of George and Helen (Welton) Petro and was a lifelong area resident. Ronald was employed as an Operating Engineer working out of Local 66 for 43 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of Argus Lodge #545 F&AM, member of the Tuesday Bunch of the lodge, member of the Youngstown Shrine Club where he was a driver for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Ronald also was an avid NASCAR Racing fan. He is survived by his mother of Austintown, his wife Patricia (Sweringen) Petro who he married September 26, 1959, children Sharon (Shawn) Monks of Wilton Connecticut, Randy (Sherri) Petro and Michele Petro both of San Diego CA. He is also survived by his sister Doris Sebaugh of Cleveland and his grandson Michael Petro. He was preceded in death by his father. Family and friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home where Masonic services will be held at 8 pm.
