Ronald T Quinn

Ronald Thomas Quinn, 63 of Cortland passed away at 1:40pm Tuesday June 9, 2009 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Ronald was born in Youngstown on May 19, 1946, the son of the late James E. and Jeanne M. (Saffen) Quinn. A lifetime area resident, Ronald graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1965. After graduating, Ronald joined the US Army in the 101st Airborne. He was honorably discharged November 22, 1968. Ronald retired from WCI Steel in 2001 where he worked as a grinder in the roll shop. He is a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren. Hobbies include his cars, attending car shows, working in the yard, and traveling. He is survived by his two children; Michael J. Quinn of Sharon, PA and Stacey M. Humphrey of Cortland; five grandchildren, Steven, Ashley, Kylee, Emily, and Madilyn; a sister Anne Catherine Cokrak of Warren and three nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Friday June 12, 2009 at St Mary's Church in Warren with the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 11, 2009 from 6-7:30pm at Shafer Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery with military honors.
