Rosemarie Bartha

Services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Rosemarie Bartha, 81, of Austintown who passed away Tuesday evening in Select Specialty Hospital. Rosemarie was born March 15, 1926 in Pittsburgh PA, the daughter of Ben and Rose (Acor) Zawrotny. She moved to Youngstown at an early age. Rosemarie was a spelling champion at St. Joseph’s School. She attended St. Joseph School and South High School. She was a member of Austintown Community Church, had been a member of the Girard Sisterhood of Dames of Malta, she belonged to the Meander Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #3298. Rosemarie enjoyed cooking, gardening, and camping, spending quite a few years down in Florida winter camping. Her first husband, Ronald F. Walker, whom she married September 16, 1944, passed away May 19, 1979. Rosemarie leaves her second husband, Andrew Bartha, whom she married November 22, 1979, four daughters; Marian Morrow of Willoughby, Ohio; Barbara Dickson of Girard, Ohio; Laraine Smith of Bloomingdale, Ohio; and Rosemary Staton of Youngstown, five step-children; Ilene Kidd of Merritt Island, Florida; William Bartha of Youngstown, Sue Hoschar of Columbiana, Andrea White and Margaret Alford both of Spring, Texas. She also leaves a brother; Robert Zawrotny of Cerritos CA, and a sister Joann Williams of Hermosa FL, as well as 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Besides her first husband, Rosemarie was preceded in death by a brother Ben Zawrotny and a granddaughter Danielle Dickson. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Friday and again from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Austintown Community Church in Rosemarie’s name.
