Russell H. DeLancey, "Russ", age 79, of Warren Ohio, died on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren at 9:51 PM. He was born on August 19, 1934 in Pike, West Virginia, son of the late Roy and Rozetta Mason DeLancey. Russ graduated from Pennsboro High School in West Virginia. Right after high school, he went into the US Marines and fought during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, Russ became an electrician and worked for Taylor Winfield until they closed and then went to work for Denman Tire. Some of his interests included making wood crafts and gardening. He also collected all sorts of things, especially tractors and vehicles, as he liked to work on them. He loved helping people out when they were in need, they could count on Russ. Survivors include his wife, the former Judith "Judy" Bayus, whom he married on August 16, 1972; his sons, Kenneth DeLancey and his companion, Donna of Stockbridge, Georgia, Allen DeLancey of Georgia, and Michael DeLancey of Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenton DeLancey of Ellenboro, West Virginia. He also left his side-kick, Ginger, his dog. Other than his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his sisters, Oneta Francis, Evalene Carpenter, and Ethel Flanigan. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren at 11 AM Thursday, September 5, 2013, where family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service. Father J. Jeffrey Baker will celebrate Russell's life. Burial will take place in the Meadow Brook Memorial Park, Warren, Ohio.
