North Jackson- Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church for Russell ‘Rusty’ Adair who died Monday morning in North Side Hospital. Russell was born March 14, 1945 in Youngstown the son of Clarence ''Russ'' and Betty (Sourbeck) Adair and was a life long area resident. Russell was a member of the church, a 32 degree mason with Argus Lodge #545 F & AM, graduate of Western Reserve High School where he was a member of the High School Athletic Hall of Fame, received his Electrical Degree from A.T.E.S. School and then received his Associate Degree from Youngstown State in Labor Relations. He was also a member of the Secondwind Lung Transplant Organization, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed camping, golfing and riding motorcycles. He was employed as an electrician for Lordstown General Motors for 29 years retiring in 2000. He also served as a committeeman for 14 years at General Motors. He is survived by two children Rebecca(Mark) Swift of Canfield, Russell “RJ”(Lisa)Adair Jr. of Berlin Center, sister Karen Burky of Austintown, brother David Adair of Ellsworth and four grandchildren. Russell is also survived by his fiancée Polly Simonson her two children and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Secondwind Lung Transplant Organization.
